If you, like many of us, are fed up with the high cost of eating out everyday- which can be seen not only in our decreasing bank accounts but also in our expanding waistline, the reasonable thing to do is ditch them fast food joints and get to cooking.  However, cuando no sabes ni papa de cocina, there’s only so much you can do, and honestly, eating half-assed sandwiches everyday is not that healthy either.  So, what to do? You can head over to your fave library or bookstore and get yourself a cookbook.  Sure, sounds simple and reasonable… not so much when most cookbooks seem to be written by Martha Stewart via Shakespearean idiom.  If you want to learn how to cook while keeping it fun and simple, one of the best solutions out there is called “Get In The Kitchen, Bit@hes!”

This book is something like “Cooking for Dummies” but fun and with foul language here and there… because, you know, everything is much more fun and relatable when you cuss here and there. This is definitely not your grandma’s cookbook.

“Get In The Kitchen, Bit@hes!” includes 46 recipes of entrées, appetizers, soups and stews, homemade salad dressings, y por si fuera poco, some fabulous tips on making deelish meals with leftovers and packaged products.

Even though the whole book is geared towards beginners and people that have no clue how to work a kitchen, the recipes are divided into three levels of difficulty: easy, medium, and hard… but of course they don’t call them that, instead you get: “Dumb Ass” (easy), “The Little Chef That Could” (medium), and “Are You F%@king Kidding Me?” (hard).

This is definitely a fun and easy book to read and follow.  You will seriously have some fun in the kitchen and you’ll be surprised by the outcome, which if you follow directions properly, would result in a delicious culinary achievement.

Some of the recipes inclue: South of My Border Pasta, Bend Me Over Beef, Lick My Boots Lamb, Poke Me! Pork, Drunken Indian Chicken, Trailer Park Chicken Marsala, Miso Honee Stir-Fry, among other yummy and hilarious dishes.
