“Curso Avanzado de Perra” is the fourth and last single of Shego’s upcoming new album, which is almost a religious experience.

“Today I woke up and chose violence”. With this insistence, “Curso Avanzado de Perra” [Advanced Bitch Course] begins, the last single of “No lo volveré hacer”, the eagerly awaited new album of the Spanish band Shego, which will be released on February 6th by Ernie Records and Altafonte. The countdown is coming to an end, and this last single is much more than a declaration of intent. It is the confirmation that Shego has in its hands one of the most important works of this 2025 that has just begun.

After closing 2024 in style with a spectacular triptych of singles (¡’La fiesta’, ¡‘arghHhh!’ and ‘Aunque duela’), this ‘Curso Avanzado de Perra’ doesn’t take its foot off the accelerator and proves that the trio from Madrid is going for it all.

This new single is a real bomb to start the year with all the attitude, a song of empowerment and disdain towards imposed expectations. Or, simply put, the only preparation you need to face the real world.

Taking its title from the homonymous collection of poems by the writer Carolina Otero Belmar (Ed. Cántico, 2022), the song is a resurgence assuming what there is, without demands. Its lyrics, full of sarcasm and perspicacity, leave no one out. As if it were a particular decalogue of commandments, Maite, Raquel and Charlotte share with us here a series of precepts to face modern life with an authentic redeeming spirit as the lyrics explain: “No fear, no shame, no guilt, no money in the bank. The fault lies with your parents, the school, the Spanish state. You feel invincible and deep down not even God can stand you”.

With razor-sharp irony, the song is a mockery of righteousness and self-importance, of established norms and preconceived notions about oneself. A little mirror that shows you your own flaws in order to accept them. An invitation not to regret past mistakes and to believe in yourself (“nothing will hurt you; no one will destroy you”). A song that tells us that it doesn’t matter if we are a disaster, because we are perfect anyway. The song also comes with a stunning music video directed by Stephen Lyne, in which the artists walk around the city of Madrid dressed in the special red habit they wear on the album cover.

The sound continues to evolve, but the essence remains intact: a perfect blend of the visceral of punk rock and the infectious of indie pop, as the song grabs you from the first chord. A song to listen on loop and become a faithful follower of the order of Shego. Listening to the song is complemented by the 10 Commandments of Shego:

1. You will love yourself above all else.
2. “Me cago en Dios” will be a mandatory part of your vocabulary.
3. You will sanctify “The Feast”.
4. Blame will always be your father’s and mother’s fault.
5. Thou shalt not kill (or yes).
6. You will think you are invincible, even though not even God can stand it.
7. You will steal from multinational corporations and support local trade.
8. You will lie whenever necessary.
9. You will not want to have sex, or you will only want to have sex, or you will want to leave.
10. You will say you will never do it again (but you will).

This Decalogue will be available in an exclusive and very special format through the pre-sale of ‘No lo volveré hacer’. Those who pre-purchase the album through Altafonte’s website will receive a gift with these 10 Commandments along with the vinyl on February 6th.

Shego will be touring Spain in the coming months to present his new album.
