The Basics: Need to relax, unwind and have a nice drink after work? If so, “The Well” is for you. Although it’s in the Hollywood area and traffic can make you think twice about it, it’s definitely worth the drive. “The Well” is the perfect bar/ lounge to chill out- whether you do it by yourself, with a couple of friends, with a date or with your peor-es-nada. The drinks are strong and really good and the atmosphere is just right. You definitely get the Hollywood treatment minus the attitude and the unnecessary pretentiousness.
The crowd is as mixed as it can get, but regardless of the perceptible differences, everyone goes with one and only one objective in mind: have a good time.
“The Well” is nice and cozy and it’s known and popular for its long lasting “happy hour”. The drinks are quite strong. Kudos on the “Chocolate Martini” and the “Sunset Shooter”- they’re definitely a must-have drink. However, not all drinks are perfect, their “Bloody Mary” was not up to standard, so try that one at your own risk.
Other than that and the fact that there’s only one restroom, “The Well” is a great after-work place to lounge and chill. Not only is the ambiance pleasant but the music is a huge plus- their jukebox is filled with plenty of rock, reggae, alternative and indie pop tunes.
