Scorpions: Get Your Sting and Blackout

The Scorpions, the German iconic rock band that has been thrashing arena rock anthems such as “Rock You Like a Hurricane” for over 40 years, is hitting Southern California during the North American leg of their final worldwide tour, Get Your Sting and Blackout.

Acts will include rock songs from their final album A Sting in the Tail, which debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard Top 200 charts. It was the band’s highest chart debut in over 20 years.

Band members Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs, Rudolf Schenker, James Kottak and Pawel Maciwoda have always put the emphasis of their shows on their live stage perfomances.

In a press release on the band’s website, “Scorpions is a live band,” asserts Meine. “Totally, 200%, this band was always about live concerts. We always wanted to go on stage and play in front of our fans.”

This injection of energetic performances has garnered them fans from around the globe, including a large following of Latina American fans.
In September, the band will be heading south of the border to Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia.

Before doing so, the band will have one last opportunity to showcase its talent to its Southern California fans, performing in Ontario and Los Angeles this summer.
