After a successful run through major cities in Mexico for their "Viviendo El Sueño" tour, Los Claxons are getting ready to head to the U.S. to promote their latest album, “Camino A Encontrarte”. Although dates and venues are still being secured, the band has their eyes set for a mid September visit.

The rock band from Monterrey, Nuevo León released “Camino A Encontrarte” last fall and have been promoting it heavily in major concert venues like Guadalajara’s Teatro Diana, Mexico City’s Plaza Condesa and Monterrey’s Auditorio Banamex.

The album was co-produced by Balta Hinojosa and recorded and mixed by six-time Grammy winner Javier Garza. The album held the #1 spot in Mexico’s iTunes sales for more than a month and its singles "Este Mundo Sin Ti" and "Ahí Estaré" have been in the top 10 in Mexico’s radio stations.

Eight years ago, Los Claxons started playing the local clubs and universities in and around Monterrey. Slowly but surely, their fan base grew and record companies began to take notice. Movic Records, who also has Mexican punk rock bands Panda and Insite on their roster, offered them a record deal and in 2005 they recorded their first album: "Sin Ganga", which opened doors for them throughout Mexico.

At the end of 2007, their second album, "En Primera", was released and the band had over 80 live concerts all over Mexico throughout 2008. In 2009, their third effort, the self-titled "LOS CLAXONS", saw the beginning of their collaborations with producers Baltazar Hinojosa and Javier Garza.

On August 21, Los Claxons will participate in the Fanta Irrestible Awards, the first edition of the awards show that will celebrate the youth and their favorite national and international artists. The event will take place at the Teatro Metropolitan and live streaming of it will be available here.
