As part of the sixth round of the Licenciado Cantinas tour, which began almost a year ago in San Francisco to promote the singer’s 2011 release, Enrique Bunbury and his band will begin the new American tour of the album on November 17 at the Viejas Arena in San Diego.
Other dates include November 19 at the City National Grove in Anaheim, November 20 at the historic Hollywood Palladium, November 21 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, November 23 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, November 25 at The Majestic Theater in Ventura, followed by a series of performances in Chicago, Washington, New York, Dallas, Houston, McAllen, El Paso and Phoenix.
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Thursday, August 30 through LiveNation; general public tickets go on sale Friday, August 31, 2012 through the same outlet.
Since before the release of Licenciado Cantinas, which is now considered one of the most highly acclaimed albums of Latin American classics, Bunbury and his band Los Santos Inocentes, have toured almost non-stop with dates at the Vive Latino and Wirikuta Festivals in Mexico City, among various other city gigs. In between, the recording artist and impeccable performer also found time to release four music videos and “Licenciado Cantinas The Movie”, a short film about the end of the world being the same day as the protagonists’ (Bunbury) wedding day.
On August 25 at the Coliseum de A Coruña, Bunbury and Los Santos Inocentes wrapped a second tour of Licenciado Cantinas in Spain. And on September 1 they will begin a more extensive tour of his beloved Mexico; this time around playing cities like Puebla, Torreón, Mérida, León and Querétaro, which are often overlooked by other major rock acts. The Mexican region part of the tour will also take the act to Guadalajara, Monterrey, Acapulco, Cancún and, of course, Mexico City at the majestic Palacio De Los Deportes for two nights on September 28 and 29.

Born in Zacatecas, MX, and moved to Pasadena, CA at age 11 (a long time ago). I love music, photography, and soccer from all over the world. I also enjoy reading music biographies. The following words from John Lennon encapture my philosophy on life: "Imagine there's no countries. It isn't hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for, And no religion too. Imagine all the people living life in peace".
